1 - There is always something to study.
The first thing Redglare does in Generic Jamjar is find a quiet place in the local library, a handful of books on current law, and bunker down. She stands out pretty vividly what with her being a fucking space alien in a place presumably largely habituated by humans. To help that, though, she has totally built a half-fort out of heavy law books.
There is a sign on the topmost part of it that was clearly written in different highlighters. Like one on top of the other so it looks kinda teal. It reads simply: 'lo1t3r3rs 4nd d1sturb3rs of th3 p34c3 w1ll b3 pros3cut3d'.
Don't test her.
2 - You have committed a crime.
You've been stubborn, and it's her job to break you down. So when she walks into the interrogation room, she is prepared. In Generic Jamjar, she's found a place in law enforcement. Maybe it was hard to catch you or relatively easy-- either way, Redglare has done it and she is ready to prepare for trial. She comes in with glasses in place, a red and teal suit on, clipboard and tape recorder in hand. More importantly, her cane is tucked under her arm.
They aren't the most sophisticated tools, but she knows plenty how to use them. She sets the tape recorder-- red light signalling its being on-- down on the table.
"I will give you two minutes."

[She didn't even need two seconds.]
I confess! I'm sorry! I didn't realize I was hurting anyone...!

You were hiding in a stairwell with a video camera and lecherous intent, and you did not realize you were hurting anyone.

The crimes had been conducted with her usual dramatic flare, but in the end, they had only been the start of Mindfang's plan. She had wanted to wind up where she was, looking up at the Neophyte as she once had when she had been forced to kneel before her and her lusus. Now, however, things were different. They were on Mindfang's terms, and she knew exactly how she wanted the game to go.
"It will take me at least eight."

But Redglare is all too aware this is likely a plan-- the mechanization behind which she has no idea. Though she finds she does not give a god damn. Her criminal is here. The crime spree will come to an end. The power is in her hands, and any cheek from this blueblood is just an attempt to take that from her.
"No," she replies, smiling. "You are forgetting, criminal! You, in all your cavalier whimsy... are not in control here. You have two minutes. Confess and I will fight for your right to life-- I will see that you are put behind bars rather than on the culling block."

Mindfang would have scoffed at the word if she weren't too busy gloating.
"You've let them soften you." She is clearly in no rush to abide by Redglare's 'two minute rule'. "Fifty sweeps ago, you would have had my head for much less. Had I not had yours in its place, of course."
Her words are meant to push, an experiment to see just how much prodding the neophyte can take before her scales are tipped. She's a woman that stands firmly for justice, but what is justice? Does the law not change with the land?

"Or perhaps I've adjusted. Your time is running short."
If she really wanted to help Mindfang, she thinks, she would have given her more time. Her hand finds the head of her cane, leaning it against the table, and the other takes the clipboard. She takes a deep whiff of the words printed there.
"I will read off your crimes to you, if you like. Perhaps that will jog your memory!"
i keep deleting icons and unlocking more shipping icons i just want my normal icons omg
Mindfang hopes so. She has already underestimated this woman once before. Now, her expectations are raised, and her fear lies only in the idea that Redglare might not live up to them.
"Would you?" Her grin distorts into a smirk. "Tell me everything! I admit I am always elated to hear someone talk about me, and to hear it from your tongue?" She leans back in her chair, hands behind her head as she sets her dirty, leather boots on the table. "I can imagine only few things better."
